Also in attendance were public organizations such as Afif, Good Action, Spin Plus, Health, Swan Plus, and the Red Crescent Society of Tajikistan. The meeting focused on tuberculosis control cooperation in Tajikistan and explored the space of opportunities.
The meeting reviewed the work plan and key priorities for the project from October 2024 to September 2025.
The meeting was conducted in an interactive format, with participants actively participating in engaging discussions. Together, they developed concrete steps to improve the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of tuberculosis.
Special attention was paid to coordinating efforts to combat tuberculosis and HIV across all levels of the Tajik healthcare system, which became part of the next FHI 360 global health security project.
USAID and its partners have expressed their commitment to increasing efforts to fight tuberculosis during this challenging time and contribute to strengthening health systems in Tajikistan. During the meeting, several important strategic decisions were made to improve the effectiveness of TB control efforts in the country.
Some of the key areas of focus include improving early detection, treatment, and adherence to treatment for TB patients, as well as enhancing collaboration between government agencies and public health organizations.
