{"id":1685,"date":"2024-12-03T10:34:21","date_gmt":"2024-12-03T05:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ntp.tj\/site\/?p=1685"},"modified":"2024-12-30T10:35:57","modified_gmt":"2024-12-30T05:35:57","slug":"a-briefing-on-the-presentation-of-digital-technologies-aimed-at-combating-tuberculosis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ntp.tj\/site\/?p=1685&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"A briefing on the presentation of digital technologies aimed at combating tuberculosis."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, on December\u00a02nd, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan\u00a0hosted\u00a0a briefing\u00a0to discuss\u00a0the introduction of innovative digital\u00a0solutions\u00a0for tracking new\u00a0tuberculosis cases\u00a0(BS),\u00a0identifying\u00a0latent tuberculosis infection (SSN),\u00a0providing\u00a0preventive treatment,\u00a0following\u00a0diagnostic and treatment protocols,\u00a0and expanding\u00a0the\u00a0population&#8217;s access to\u00a0personal\u00a0tuberculosis\u00a0testing.\u00a0The event was attended by Jamoliddin Abdullozoda,\u00a0the\u00a0Minister of Health and Social Protection, Gafur Mukhsinzoda,\u00a0First Deputy Minister, Riordan,\u00a0Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID),\u00a0representatives of\u00a0development partners\u00a0and\u00a0relevant institutions,\u00a0and\u00a0experts.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting was opened by\u00a0Minister of Health and Social Protection of\u00a0Population, Jamoliddin Abdullozoda. He\u00a0emphasized\u00a0the\u00a0importance\u00a0of\u00a0introducing\u00a0digital technologies in the fight against tuberculosis. The\u00a0minister\u00a0noted that\u00a0digitalization allows for more effective management of the\u00a0disease,\u00a0timely tracking of\u00a0new cases,\u00a0and\u00a0development of\u00a0measures for\u00a0diagnosis and treatment.<\/p>\n<p>In line with\u00a0the strategy\u00a0of healthcare\u00a0digitalization, the use of innovative methods\u00a0for\u00a0protecting the population\u00a0against\u00a0tuberculosis will significantly improve\u00a0disease\u00a0control\u00a0and provide timely assistance to\u00a0those\u00a0who need it, as noted previously.<\/p>\n<p>In his opening remarks, John Riordan, Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Tajikistan,\u00a0emphasized\u00a0the\u00a0importance of\u00a0multisectoral cooperation\u00a0in implementing USAID&#8217;s\u00a0investments\u00a0to digitize\u00a0the tuberculosis\u00a0prevention\u00a0system in the country.\u00a0This cooperation contributes significantly\u00a0to strengthening the\u00a0healthcare\u00a0system\u00a0and creating\u00a0the basis for\u00a0sustainable\u00a0and rapid adaptation of medical\u00a0facilities\u00a0in emergency situations.
