Discussion of joint plans of the State Institution “Republican Center for the Protection of the Population from Tuberculosis” and the Public Association “Fazoi Imkonot”

On August 30, the State Institution “Republican Center for the Protection of the Population from Tuberculosis” (RCPPT) met with representatives of its partner, the Public Association “Fazoi Imkonot” (Space of Opportunities), to discuss the directions for providing technical assistance within the framework of the USAID project aimed at eliminating tuberculosis in Tajikistan.

In line with the terms of our cooperation agreement, the aim of providing technical support is to enhance the information technology infrastructure of the RCPPT, implement innovations, and address challenges in the implementation of data collection and analysis programmes for tuberculosis control.

At the meeting, six key objectives of technical assistance from the PO “Space of Opportunities” were presented and discussed:

– Development of technical tools and reporting forms to enhance the potential of information technologies at the RCPPT

– Providing technical assistance to optimize functional activities and coordinate the website and online programs of the RCPPT

– Provision of assistance in budgeting for ensuring continuity of information technology and information systems

– Assessment of the technical condition of information technology facilities, including inventory, accessibility, supply, and internet connection

– Continuous provision of efficient operation of information technology infrastructure and systems for the RCPPT and tuberculosis institutions

– Assistance in reducing time from detection of tuberculosis to treatment initiation

 

In the final part, appropriate decisions were made regarding the issues discussed, and the management and leading specialists of the PO “Phasoi Imconot” (Space of Opportunities) were given specific instructions and recommendations to address existing problems and shortcomings in the industry.
